You can walk into any dispensary now and buy it with a photo ID, but with 25% sales tax without a medical card. Some of the dispensaries are selling it for like $150 and ounce up closer to Union City which is about the cheapest I’ve found it, but the ones close by where I live like the one below want $320 an oz for the good stuff. Shit! with 25% tax that's $400

They sell smaller quantities too but it’s still dam expensive. It will take a while before the prices start coming down. I was going to go get some tonight or tomorrow and looking for the best price.

Well heck, that was easy. Found a website for medical cannabis recommendations and ID cards online and the doctor from LA called me then sent me the recommendation via email and I will have the card in a week for $50. Quick and easy way to get around the 25% tax

Looks like the dispensaries don't have to charge the full 25% sales tax if you have the ID card, but when the shops start to open up for recreational sales the tax will be there if you buy at those places.

I wonder how the companies in Ca. deal with legal Cannabis and drug testing? Since THC lingers in the system for weeks, a random drug test could trip up a lot of people. Maybe they are going to exclude the THC test, or are they going to fire a lot of good employees? Just ran into this about drug parties in Silicon Valley that lead to Orgies:

Perhaps those are the same folks mad at Trump over the old Access Hollywood tape with Billy Bush...

Smells good... Premium Jack.., I'll have to try the other two strains next to see which one I like

They wont. You will only have certain circumstances (professions) like in the areas of federal transportation, medical, law enforcement, etc. that will never allow it as long as it stays on that list.

Just watch our for that Uber driver

Oh, has anyone also here in CA noticed how they got cute with the electronic signs along the highways starting New Years Eve night? They had the ones before like "Drive Drunk get a DUI", "Buzz Driving is Drunk Driving"and "Click-it or Ticket". On the way home New Years it simply said "Drive High get a DUI" They will probably just have to use that one from now on to cover both.

The other thing is that they have no way to check for THC levels if they pull you over and there is no set level yet anyway. So, if someone uses Visine and gets some of that spray which eliminates the smell and uses both before they get behind the wheel and with no THC test then what will or can they even do? All of that stuff opens up problems associated with it and they are not currently even prepared to deal with it yet

It will also probably take at least another year for other places beside the dispensaries to start selling it. There’s a lot they have to figure out at the local levels first. Will liquor stores be allowed to sell it? When it starts becoming available at your local store down on the corner then the prices will start dropping. Right now, the supply is high, just not readily available, but the demand is also high so the demand needs to reverse before the price will start dropping. Once it becomes more readily available then that will start happening.

This is what most of us don't agree with because it's complete bullshit! The AG doesn’t have a clue, yet he made statements like the below due to complete ignorance. First, the only reason it was ever put on the list under that classification was because Nixon was a paranoid ignorant moron. Second, they have completely made stuff up like it causes physical disorders and schizophrenia. Give us a break, anyone with half a brain knows better.

This is just another typical example of the ignorant backwater mentality coming from the redneck bible-belt states, plain and simple. Making pot legal is one issue California got right. Like Nixon, Session's is a moron too.

    http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2018/01/08/sessions-pot-policy-reversal-is-good-news-for-america.html

"The bottom line: today’s pot is a potentially dangerous substance. That’s why it is classified as a Schedule I controlled drug along with heroin, LSD, and ecstasy – it isn’t alcohol. While alcohol can be abused, it is not addictive for most people. Moreover, most consumers stop well shy of the point of intoxication. Moderate amounts even have some positive health benefits such as reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke."

"Compared to alcohol, we now know that long-term marijuana use can cause physical disorders such as respiratory disease, social problems such as anomie, and mental health problem such as schizophrenia, something we didn’t know about in the 1960s."

Absolute BS......Those are the same folks all wrapped up with who goes into what bathroom, and who also insist that a developing fetus NEVER be aborted no matter what the consequences, including death to the mother, or the product of a gang rape, incest, down syndrome, no brain, etc. On the other hand, there are lots of women that might say, Oh, I'm pregnant...time for another abortion. I am pro choice, but to me and my wife, that choice would be the last choice on the table. How dare the government try to dictate that choice, whether it be pot, bathroom, or the right to choose an abortion.

You know, I think it is already helping me. I suffer from chronic sinusitis and usually about once every week or every two weeks this time of the year I wake up with sinus pain or discomfort around 2am to 3am and it often becomes nauseating.

Anyway, I’ve been taking a couple of hits every night about an hour before going to bed and it puts me right to sleep. Now I wake up when the alarm goes off and I feel better. I have not had any pain, at least this week. Will have to wait and see if the improvement continues, but so far so good. I've switched to it now from alcohol because I needed to stop that anyway. Smoking a little pot is much healthier than drinking alcohol.

P.S. The other thing is the AG and DOJ’s decision will cost the GOP a bunch of senate seats come this November. There are barely enough republicans in there now from the states that have made it legal. If Trump is smart he will say something and shut his little gofer down because they are going to pay a high price if he doesn’t. If he hasn’t already sensed the backlash he will and it will be too late. Being pro Capitalist and anti-Socialist is one thing, but letting backwater jerk-offs from the bible-belt screw everything up is another.
